I hereby agree to abide by all the rules, regulations, and conditions of the , organized by Emirates Karate and EK Sports Academy.

GENERAL RULES

1. All participants must report at the venue at least 15 to 20 minutes prior to their scheduled start time.
2. Competitors must wear a clean, proper, and presentable uniform.
3. All competitors must maintain discipline, respect, and sportsmanlike conduct at all times.
4. Wearing unauthorized clothing, accessories, or equipment (rings, bracelets, chains, watches, etc.) is strictly prohibited.
5. Tournament officials reserve the right to stop, suspend, or terminate any match, including immediate disqualification, in case of misconduct or rule violations.
6. Tournament officials reserve the right to combine, modify, or change categories or groupings if required.
7. All registration fees must be paid in full at least two (2) weeks prior to the championship date. Fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

SCORING & OFFICIAL DECISIONS

All points, scores, and match decisions are made solely at the discretion of the appointed judges and referees. The judges’ and referees’ decisions are final and binding. All participants, parents, coaches, and spectators must respect the officials and their decisions. Any argument, protest, or misconduct toward officials may result in penalties or disqualification.

UNIFORM & LOGO POLICY

All competitors must wear the official Emirates Karate uniform. The JKA (Japan Karate Association) logo and EK Sports Academy logo are permitted on the uniform. Competitors must use approved Emirates Karate gloves and shin guards only. No other academy, club, or brand logos are allowed. Participants wearing non-approved uniforms or equipment will not be allowed to compete.

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT & SAFETY RULES

1. All competitors must bring their own gloves and shin guards.
2. For boxing / kickboxing events, competitors must wear a mouth guard and groin guard.
3. Head gear and chest protectors will be provided by the competition organizers at the venue.
4. All issued head gear and chest pads must be returned immediately after the bout to the competition manager.
5. Failure to return issued equipment may result in penalties or disqualification.

VISION & EYE SAFETY DISCLAIMER

Participants using spectacles, contact lenses, or any visual aids do so at their own risk. For safety reasons, competitors are strongly advised not to use visual aids during combat events. The organizers, referees, and officials are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage related to the use of visual aids during competition.

DECLARATION & LIABILITY WAIVER

I acknowledge that participation in karate and kickboxing involves inherent risks, including possible injury. I hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all claims—known or unknown, present or future—against the tournament organizers, directors, officials, coaches, staff, volunteers, sponsors, or any persons or entities associated with the Emirates Karate & Kickboxing Championship. I confirm that participation is voluntary, that the participant is medically fit, and that full responsibility is accepted.
